The Daily Grind
July 6th, 2020
Have you ever had a day in which you felt that you didn't get much done? Today was one of those days. My mornings are devoted to school and the afternoons are for finding work as a photojournalist. The morning went fairly well. I could have done better taking consistent breaks and logging my time. Despite this, the day got off to a good start. However, the afternoon was not as productive. I did not plan in detail what I was aiming to accomplish. I started with adjusting my profile on a photography contest site called View Bug and then spent the rest of the afternoon changing my profile image. This was quite a challenge. How does one communicate the essence of their blog in a small circular image? Despite the day not turning out as I had hoped, I was able to persevere and learned a few lessons along the way. The lesson learned was to spend a few minutes in the afternoon planning out exactly my goals and objectives. On a positive note, now I know for tomorrow. Keep moving forward, even if it is one small step at a time. Instead of allowing discouragement to settle in, I choose to step into my shorts, and head to the gym. The above photo depicts me stepping to go workout.
